More than 150 technical experts from Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division, NSWC Philadelphia Division, and NSWC Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division attended a Nov. 8, 2019 event -- called Dahlgren Innovation Day -- for discussions and demonstrations about technologies that will impact the current and future fleet, including guided-missile destroyers. "We saw demonstrations that involved artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensors, quantum-based computing, cloud-native technologies, automation, blockchain, and other advanced capabilities that will have a dramatic impact on our development of innovative solutions for the fleet," said Laura Martin, program manager for the Information Technology Hyper Convergence - Hybrid Cloud Team at NSWC Dahlgren Division.
