The Division Newport Office of Small Business Programs' (OSBP) mission is to maximize prime and subcontracting opportunities for small businesses through policy, advocacy, counseling and training. Its vision is to be a trailblazer in creating a sustainable culture of small business inclusiveness that helps to expand our industrial base.

Mastery of the Seas Industry Office Hours

OFFICE HOURS:
NUWC Division Newport is hosting Mastery of the Seas office hours for industry representatives on a recurring biweekly basis, every first and third Tuesday of the month, with an in-person and online option.

During these office hours, subject matter experts from Mastery of the Seas Capability Focus Areas and other Division Newport representatives will be available to discuss the strategic vision of the warfare center and focus on how external industry partners can participate and contribute to the mission.

The next event will be held Tuesday, June 16, from noon to 1 p.m., and feature Dr. Thomas Stottlemyer, director of science and technology in Division Newport’s Sensors and Sonar Systems Department, who will discuss undersea sensing.

IN-PERSON EVENT: In-person office hours will be available at NUWC Division Newport’s Building 80 Conference Room 208 (on the second floor). To attend the in-person event, complete and return the attached registration form to Division Newport’s Small Business Director, Maria Gregory, at maria.f.gregory.civ@us.navy.mil.

TEAMS PRESENTATION: A Teams link will be provided via email to registrants prior to the event, upon receipt of a completed registration form. The Teams link will be provided no later than one-hour prior to the event. A new Teams link will be required for each day of participation. Please register each time to ensure the correct Teams link is provided.

REGISTRATION:
Each person interested in participating in the office hours must complete and submit the attached registration form prior to the Tuesday event via email to maria.f.gregory.civ@us.navy.mil. Registration is required for both the in-person and online events.

QUESTIONS:
Questions will be accepted and should be submitted via email in advance of the office hours. Questions will also be allowed during the event.

There will be no fee to attend, however, industry participants will be required to preregister no later than the Friday prior to the Tuesday event.

What is SAM.gov? It’s the single government point-of-entry for federal government procurement. On SAM.gov, users can register to do business with the U.S. government; update, renew or check the status of your entity registration; search for entity registration and exclusion records; search for assistance listings, wage determinations, contract opportunities and contract data reports; and access publicly available award data via data extracts and system accounts. 

SeaPort-NxG
SeaPort-NxG is the Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 23 functional areas including engineering, financial management and program management. The Navy systems commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVFAC and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) compete their service requirements amongst 2400+ SeaPort-NxG Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract holders.

SeaPort-NxG provides an efficient and effective means of contracting for professional support services and enhancing small business participation. The Navy conducts rolling admissions to allow new industry partners the opportunity to participate. Updates to the rolling admissions schedule are posted on the Seaport website (https://www.seaport.navy.mil/) as well as SAM.gov.

The original solicitation number N00178-18-R-7000 was awarded in December 2018. Rolling admissions solicitation number N00178-21-R-7000 was awarded in July 2021. Rolling admissions occur approximately every two years; there will be no rolling admission conducted in FY22.
