NUWC Division Newport engineer earns DON Superior Civilian Service Award
William “Dave” Shallcross, an engineer with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport’s Customer Advocate and Field Team Office, who currently detailed to the Office of Naval Research-Global, recently was awarded the Department of the Navy Superior Civilian Service Award, the second highest DON civilian award, for his sustained exceptional service as science advisor and special assistant to the Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet, from 2022 through 2025.
