K. Bryan Mitsdarffer received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the third highest honorary award in the Navy, due to his work as the Chief Engineer for Microwave Devices at NSWC Crane.

Upon receiving his award, Mitsdarffer stated that he was grateful for the support from his co-workers and supervisors.

“I am very appreciative for my co-workers and supervisors who supported my nomination for this award. I have been privileged to work with many talented and capable people throughout my career. I feel that all of the good work that has been completed and referenced in the award nomination was not done alone, but with a talented group of people. Their efforts helped lead to all the success I have experienced in my career,” 

Mitsdarffer previously won the Meritorious Civilian Service Award in May 1997.
