Pittsburgh, PA - Team Submarine’s Command Master Chief Josh Sturgill (left) stands with Project MFG representatives and welding competition participants, during the Pennsylvania Talent Pipeline Project’s inaugural Project MFG Welding Competition and Career Discovery Day held in Pittsburgh at the Pittsburgh Technical College, in Oakdale, Pa., Nov. 29. The expansion of the Pennsylvania Talent Pipeline Project seeks to engage and energize the Pittsburgh defense industrial base by creating a maritime-focused manufacturing talent pipeline in support of the Navy’s significant demand for critical trade skills.
