AUKUS Acquisition and Integration

About AUKUS I&A

AUKUS Integration & Acquisition (I&A) is the U.S. Navy program office responsible for coordinating the delivering the U.S. contribution to AUKUS Pillar I. AUKUS Pillar I's focus is to support Australia in acquiring a conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarine capability--a generational leap in allied defense cooperation--at the earliest possible date while setting the highest nuclear stewardship standards and continuing to maintain the highest nonproliferation standard.

AUKUS I&A integrates the Navy's technical, industrial, and programmatic efforts to meet this strategic mission. We serve as the central hub for integrating submarine operations, workforce development, training, nuclear stewardship, and trilateral base expansion activities across the Department of the Navy and with our AUKUS partners.

AUKUS Pillar I is strengthening our undersea advantage, supporting allied capability development, and expanding the industrial base to meet future defense demands.
