Survivability

Survivability specializes in the environmental qualification testing (EQT) of submarine non-propulsion electronic systems (NPES) produced by the U.S. Navy, allied navies and commercial activities. Survivability consists of both the Survivability Assessment Group and the Survivability Test Laboratory.

The Survivability Assessment Group consists of EQT experts that interface with customers to properly scope platform level EQT requirements, facilitate implementation of the requirements on the shipboard systems, assess results and provide formal technical recommendations.

The Survivability Test Laboratory is a 23,000 square-foot facility whose capabilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Hydrostatic and atmospheric pressure testing
  • High and low impact shock testing
  • Vibration testing
  • Climactic testing
  • Acoustic testing
