Vietnamese refugee talks about her rescue by the U.S. Navy during visit to NUWC Division Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. - Mary Truong, executive director of the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, who as a child was rescued by the U.S Navy during her family’s emergency exodus from Vietnam in 1975, spoke about her work and personal experiences on May 22 at NUWC Division Newport, as part of a commemoration for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
