NSWCDD Disability Awareness Month

DAHLGREN, Va. - Marietto Jeffries, NSWCDD Veterans Employment Special Emphasis Program Manager, explains his role in assisting veterans at Dahlgren to Sharon Rhone during the command's Disability Awareness Event and Health Fair at the University of Mary Washington, Dahlgren Campus, Oct. 29. Rhone is the Rural Health Integrator for the Rural Health Initiative Program at McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center, Richmond, Va. Jeffries serves as a liaison between veterans who are government employees and workforce management and as their liaison to veterans associations. "As a bridge between veterans on base and Veterans Administration resources, I educate veterans on how to get their disability and educational benefits," said Jeffries.
