Commanding Officer, AEGIS Technical Representative

Captain Davis graduated in 1991 from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and entered the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer.

Captain Davis’ sea tours include USS DURHAM (LKA 114) as CIC Officer, USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) as Electrical Officer and Second Division Officer and USS PETERSON (DD 969) as Operations Officer.

His shore assignments prior to becoming an Engineering Duty Officer include the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California where he earned his Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering and as an Associate Fellow with the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group (SSG) in Newport, Rhode Island.

As an Engineering Duty Officer, Captain Davis served in Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) Portsmouth, Virginia as a Project Officer and Branch Head, in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) as the Deputy for Combat Systems Ship Integration and the Fleet Liaison and Introduction Officer for the RAM, Phalanx and SeaRAM weapons systems, in NAVSEA as the Air Dominance Department Officer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, and in the Missile Defense Agency, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Directorate as the Current Block Weapons System Division Head and the Deputy for Future Weapons Systems. Captain Davis has also served as the Combined Joint Task Force Troy Chief Engineer for the Counter Radio-controlled IED Electronic Warfare (CREW) program in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn in Baghdad, Iraq. He most recently served as the Deputy Commander for Engineering (Chief Engineer) at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division.

Captain Davis’ current assignment is as the Commanding Officer, AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) in Moorestown, New Jersey.

His decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star and various unit commendations and service awards.
