Senior Chief Hale, a native of Long Beach, MS, enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1996. He completed basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois.
Upon graduation, he reported for duty as a Non-Rated Fireman Apprentice onboard the USS EMORY S. LAND (AS 39), where he worked in the Submarine Mast and Antenna Repair shop. After two years, he struck and became designated as an Operations Specialist. His fleet assignments include: Assault Craft Unit FOUR, Little Creek, VA; JTF Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Assault Craft Unit FIVE, Camp Pendleton, CA. In addition, he completed shore assignments at Navy Recruiting District New Orleans, LA, and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific at NAB Coronado, CA.
Senior Chief Hale is currently serving as Command Senior Enlisted Leader at Surface Combat Systems Center in Wallops Island, VA. He holds an Associate’s Degree with a major in Personnel Supervision and Management from Coastline Community College. Additionally, Senior Chief Hale is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 225, the U.S. Navy Command Master Chief Course Class 21040, and has earned his Enlisted Surface, Information Dominance, and Aviation Warfare, as well as Master Training Specialist designation.
His decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (8 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
