Command Senior Chief Michael W. Maclin, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from Raleigh Egypt High School in 1999. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Memphis, Tennessee in January 2001. He completed basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in Illinois in April 2001 as an undesignated fireman and later selected the designated rate of Operations Specialist.
Maclin’s sea duty assignments include USS Constellation (CV 64), USS Shiloh(CG 67), USNS Rappahanock (TAO 204)and USS Vandergrift (FFG 48).
Ashore, Maclin has served with Seal Team Seventeen and Undersea Warfighting Development Center Detachment San Diego.
He was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2018 and is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Khaki group, Class 206) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course.
Maclin has served as Command Senior Chief of Commander, Task Force 65 and Destroyer Squadron 60 and currently serves as the Command Senior Chief of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Everett Detachment.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Metal, the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various campaign and service awards.
