IMAGE: Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) mathematician Willie Crank is a 2019 Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Science Spectrum Trailblazer award winner. “I am deeply honored to have been selected for this award and I want to thank every person throughout my life and career who supported, guided and believed in me,” said Crank in response to the news. “I hope that I continue to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of others and strive to achieve the goals I have set forth.”

IMAGE: Denise Bagnall is presented the John Adolphus Dahlgren Award at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's annual awards ceremony, Apr. 26 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center. The Dahlgren Award is named for Rear Adm. John A. Dahlgren – who is considered the "Father of Modern Naval Ordnance" - and honors individuals with significant achievement in science, engineering or management.
