NEWPORT, R.I. - Retired U.S. Army colonel Nathan Thomas Jr. speaks with Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport employees after a talk on Jan. 16 about his work during the civil rights movement. Thomas, who is president of Welcome Home Vets, was guest speaker honoring the life and work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
