qualified small businesses at the earliest stage of acquisition planning
NUWC Keyport Small Business Policy
The management, technical, and acquisition personnel of Naval
Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport recognize the great
value of the nation’s small businesses contribute to the defense of our
nation and the health of its economy. This Command also recognizes
the small business participation in the Navy acquisition process is an
essential element of successful defense contracting. It is the policy of
Division Keyport to aggressively provide a robust, mission oriented
Small Business Program that meets the Navy’s needs and encourages
small businesses to participate in the acquisition process. The Division’s
Small Business Program will improve customer understanding of the
capabilities that exist in the small business community and promote
constructive communication between small businesses and the technical
customers of our activity.
NUWC Keyport Small Business Program’s Strategic Goals
People – Be an integral part of the Command and assist in the
development of strategies for increased use of small business in
support of NUWC Keyport’s Mission.
Teamwork – Be an active partner with internal and external
stakeholders to increase the opportunities for small businesses by
facilitating the awareness and recognition of the critical role of small
businesses in advancing DoD’s mission and the nation’s economy.
Innovation – Foster an environment within the acquisition and
technical community that encourages risk taking through the use
of effective management tools that increase small business
opportunities.
