Unique Test Facilities
NSWC PHD is the virtual home of some of the Navy’s most unique test assets. It brings together
- The Desert Ship, the Missile Assembly Facility, and launch sites at White Sands Missile Range at White Sands Detachment in New Mexico
- The in-service combat systems located at the Surface Warfare Engineering Facility, the Test Ship, and the Underway Replenishment Test Site, all located at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, California.
As the Navy transforms to provide new capabilities to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, these facilities will form the backbone of the test and evaluation infrastructure for decades to come.
