Providing Direct Fleet Support to Our Surface Fleet
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division provides test and evaluation, in-service engineering, and integrated logistics support services to the US Navy surface fleet.
Our responsibility is to provide for the safe, effective, and affordable operation of combat systems and weapon systems used on US Navy surface ships and US Coast Guard vessels, as well as the ships of many friendly nations. Though the basic mission has remained constant over the years, the systems supported have evolved from stand-alone systems of the past to the Strike Force and Theater Warfare systems of today.
As our nation is engaged in the Global War on Terrorism, the personnel of Port Hueneme Division are striving to enhance the combat, weapons and sensor capabilities of the Navy and Coast Guard fleets. The NSWC PHD workforce is dedicated to ensuring Sailors have the most capable and reliable systems available when they deploy in harm’s way. The daily work of our engineers, logisticians, and support personnel directly contributes to National Security and Homeland Defense efforts.
In performing our mission we provide support to the Naval Sea Systems Command for:
Force Level Warfare Systems
Ship and Ship Systems
Surface Ship Combat Systems
Littoral Warfare Systems
Surface Warfare Logistics and Maintenance
