We Want To Do Business With Small Business
Our Small Business Office helps local small business firms develop the products, skills and capabilities to compete successfully for NSWC PHD contracts and subcontracts. Through conferences and one-on-one discussions, qualified companies learn how to get their fair share of the government purchases and contracts designated for small businesses.
Our industry partnership program provides guidance for research and development and can include the use of naval vessels as platforms for testing and evaluation of promising new products.

Ventura County area firms are encouraged to join the NSWC PHD/Industry Partnership Council. By doing so, local businesses can take advantage of enhanced opportunities for more effective communication, cooperation, and consultation between the command and local industry. The Council is designed to foster a spirit of cooperation, provide a forum for new ideas and initiatives and help current and potential business partners improve their productivity and the quality of their end products so both government and industry can achieve maximum benefits from our association. Conference Offers Practical Advice On Doing Business With NSWC PHD
The Navy Gold Coast Annual Small Business Opportunity Conference, co-hosted by NSWC PHD, is designed to provide local businesses with useful, practical information on working with the United States Government. Featuring special guest speakers and instructive seminars, the Conference typically attracts more than 500 businesses.
