Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division is the Navy’s center of excellence for in-service engineering and integrated logistics support for surface warfare combat and weapon systems.
Our employees work with the latest technology in support of systems such as the Aegis combat system, ship defense systems including the Rolling Airframe Missile and Nato Seasparrow, land attack ship missile systems such as Tomahawk, vertical and guided missile launching systems, gun weapon systems, combat systems software, and underway replenishment.
The majority of our personnel work at the Port Hueneme site, situated on the Southern California coastline midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, at Naval Base Ventura County in the city of Port Hueneme. Our detachments (off-site locations) located in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Louisville, Kentucky; and White Sands, New Mexico; comprise the rest of the workforce.
