Other Missions That Occur Primarily in Coastal (Littoral) Regions
NSWC PCD provides the full range of concept and technology development, systems engineering, and integration functions required to provide expeditionary coastal and riverine forces with capabilities and decision support that enables their performance across the entire range of military operations. This technical capability is predominantly focused on evolving non-traditional missions (i.e. irregular, catastrophic, disruptive warfare); Stability, Security, Transition, and Reconstruction Operations; Defense Support of Civil Authorities; Theater Security Cooperation missions, as well as, homeland defense missions that occur in an expeditionary context.
