Division activities span the full spectrum of RDT&E, acquisition engineering, ISE, and includes the technology development, facilities, and expertise to develop, acquire, train, sustain, and support the systems and equipment (excluding weapons, ammunition, and personnel protection) required by Special Operations Forces (SOF) to conduct their missions in the Littorals. Missions include special mobility operations, unconventional warfare, coastal and riverine interdiction, beach and coastal reconnaissance, SOF infiltration/exfiltration, and certain intelligence operations.
