The primary focus of the Acquisition Services Division (ASD) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is to procure goods and services for all programs and systems required by the NSWC PCD.
The mission of the ASD is to provide best-value support that satisfies our customers' needs in terms of cost, quality and timeliness; minimize impact of administrative requirements on all customers; maintain a high-caliber workforce; implement NAVSEA transformation goals; make operating and business decisions within NSWC PCDs' Strategic Intent, and that support the Command's Vision and Execution Plan.
Our vision is to be recognized as vital members of the response team to our customers; to understand internal and external customer needs so we can anticipate their requirements; to be recognized as experts in our fields of expertise and be called on to provide solutions accordingly; to provide cost efficient services by evaluating and improving processes, and to assist in planning and monitoring the well-being of the Command and NSWC PCD.
We meet these goals by acquiring needed goods and services through Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Competitive and Sole Source procedures, Negotiated Proposals, Broad Agency Announcements, and by utilizing the Seaport Enhanced process. Types of contract awards include Fixed-Price, Cost-Reimbursement, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Research and Grants.
In Fiscal Year 2009 we:
