PSNS & IMF pins four Sailors to chief petty officer

Chief Petty Officer selects Matthew Bernstein, Devin Donohue, Austin Rhodes and Mark Robbins, with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, were pinned to the rank of chief petty officer during a ceremony Jan. 29, 2021, at Olympic Lodge on Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, Washington. The ceremony had limited attendees, with participants and attendees socially distanced to adhere to COVID-19 protective protocols.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment San Diego, present Sierra Vickers, a pipefitter with Shop 99P, Temporary Services, at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, with the 2021 Scholastic Achievement Award. She earned a cumulative 4.0 GPA. The Southwest Regional Apprentice Program graduated 11 apprentices during an outdoor, drive-through commencement ceremony Jan. 28, 2021, in San Diego.

NSWC Crane Employee Recognized with DOD STEM Award

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) was recognized as Employer of the Year for creating a quality internship program within the Hoosier State. NSWC Crane received this award in the nonprofit category at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Indiana INTERNnet 2019 IMPACT Awards in Carmel, Indiana on February 26, 2019.
