NSWC Dahlgren Takes Ask, Share and Learn to Heart at 2017 LGBT Pride Month Event

DAHLGREN, Va. (July 7, 2017) - Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Commanding Officer Capt. Godfrey 'Gus' Weekes speaks to military, government civilian, and defense contractors at the NSWCDD-sponsored 2017 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month Observance. “LGBT Pride Month affirms our commitment to increase awareness, mutual respect, and understanding of all members of our workforce," said Weekes. "Let’s take the theme 'Ask, Share and Learn' to heart and embrace knowing more about our colleagues and celebrating our collective diversity.” Established by Presidential Proclamation in 2000, LGBT Pride Month is held annually and recognizes the importance of diversity within our society as well as the many achievements of LGBT individuals. NSWC Crane Holds Change of Command Ceremony

170713-N-BK152-003 - CRANE, Ind. – Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) held a formal Change of Command Ceremony on Thursday. Capt. Mark Oesterreich relieved Capt. JT Elder after three years as NSWC Crane’s 28th Commanding Officer. Elder will retire from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of service.
