NSWCPD Becomes First Warfare Center to Earn Voluntary Protection Program Star Certification Three Times

When NSWCPD earned the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Recertification on Oct. 5, 2020, it also became the first Warfare Center to receive the prestigious certification three times. Back relieves Peters as commander of NSWC PCD

Capt. David N. Back relieved Capt. Aaron S. Peters as commanding officer, Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in a small ceremony at the headquarters flagpole May 8. After leading the command through Category 5 Hurricane Michael and the rebuilding process, and now through the COVID-19 pandemic, Peters will retire without the fanfare typically afforded a Navy leader after more than three decades in service to the nation.

NSWC Crane employees recognized for providing rapid response to medical emergency
November 19, 2019
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) employees were recognized for providing rapid emergency response support to a medical situation. The Code Blue Team was recently awarded the NSWC Safety Champion Award for their efforts and to responding to a fellow employee’s medical emergency. The team currently consists of eighteen volunteers who train year-round to respond to these instances within their building at NSWC Crane.

NSWC Crane recognized across Indiana for enhancing workplace safety and health
