Lincoln availability reaches midway point

USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) project team members celebrate with a barbecue June 27, 2023, in San Diego, after reaching the 50-percent mark in the carrier's six-month planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment San Diego. The availability began April 1. Reaching the 50-percent milestone keeps the project team on track for an on-time completion.

Nimitz project reaches halfway point of availability

USS Nimitz (CVN 68) arrives at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton March 7, 2021. The ship's arrival completed a nearly 11-month deployment to U.S. 3rd, 5th and 7th Fleets, including participation in Operations Freedom's Sentinel, Inherent Resolve and Octave Quartz.
