CRANE, Ind. – Jeff Miller, an electronics technician at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), received a Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Innovation Excellence award for his contributions to the Ship to Shore Maneuver Exploration and Experimentation (S2ME2) Advanced Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX).

NSWC Crane Expert Honored to Receive Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award

CRANE, Ind. – Jeff Smith, an employee at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), received a Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award last month in recognition of his exemplary performance while supporting Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) for the activation of the Limited Area Production Storage Complex and supporting Nuclear Weapons Surety Information Assurance and Cybersecurity efforts from July 2014 to January 2017.

NSWC Crane Employee of 33 Years Receives Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award

CRANE, Ind. – Scott Clark, a 33-year employee at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), received a Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award earlier this year in recognition of his dedicated service as the Manager and Range Control Officer for the Ordnance Test Area at Crane.

CRANE, Ind. – Manda Schaeffer has spent the majority of her more than seven years at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) focusing on specific technologies. Schaeffer recently realized, however, that in order to continue to grow, she needed a better understanding of Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) mission priorities.

Black History Month Employee Spotlight: Terrence Thompson

CRANE, Ind. – Terrence Thompson was born to be an engineer. Thompson’s father is a mechanical engineer for Pratt & Whitney and his mother was an engineer for Boeing and General Electric. Both parents emphasized to Thompson the importance of having a plan and being prepared for every situation.
