Pearl Harbor, Hawaii - Undocking USS Charlotte (SSN 766) from Dry Dock #3 at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) required the use of the shipyard’s buoyancy assist modules, adding to the complexity of the evolution. PHNSY & IMF is a field activity of Naval Sea Systems Command and a one-stop regional maintenance center for the Navy’s surface ships and submarines. (U.S. Navy Photo by Dave Amodo/Released)
