West Bethesda, MD - SEAP Intern Ian Clark pours silicone mix in a SeaJelly mold while on tour at Carderock in West Bethesda, Md., on Aug. 4, 2021. In each piece of the material is what Nunes calls a “void,” which each have chambers inside. Four pumps and four actuators pull in water and fill the tentacle-like arms, allowing the vehicles to swim underwater.
