West Bethesda, MD - Scott Ziv, an engineer in the Additive Manufacturing Project Office at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, inspects a set of face covering frames after they were 3D printed on April 14, 2020, in Carderock’s Manufacturing, Knowledge and Education Lab in West Bethesda, Md. The division’s Platform Integrity and Corporate Operations Departments were asked to create about 3,000 masks to be stocked for Carderock employees that need to be on base to perform work.
