CDR Christopher T. Wilson

Acting Executive Officer, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion & Repair, Gulf Coast

CDR Chris Wilson was born in Annapolis, MD and is a graduate of Rockhurst University. He was commissioned as an ensign in October of 2002, upon graduation from Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL.

After a brief OHARP tour, based out of Montgomery, AL, CDR Wilson attended the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, GA. While there he completed both the Basic Qualification Course and Supply Officer Department Head Course graduating with distinction.

Operational tours for CDR Wilson include serving as Supply Officer of the fast attack submarine, USS SALT LAKE CITY (SSN 716), 2003-2006, and Supply Officer RIVERINE SQUADRON ONE, 2006-2008. While on the SALT LAKE CITY, he led his team to the NEY award, and when he was with Riverine Squadron One, CDR Wilson was chosen as the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command Logistician of the Year. He is a qualified Submarine Warfare Supply Corps Officer and Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer.

CDR Wilson’s shore tours include Student at Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, 2009-2010; Procuring Contracting Officer, Naval Sea Systems Command Washington Navy Yard, DC from 2010-2013; Supply Officer Naval Submarine Support Command Pearl Harbor, HI, 2013-2016; and Operational Contract Support/ Expeditionary Contract Support Program Manager, NAVSUP Global Logistics Support San Diego, CA, 2016-2018. Currently, CDR Wilson serves as the Deputy Chief of the Contracting Office, SUPSHIP Gulf Coast Pascagoula, MS. CDR Wilson is DAWIA level 3 certified in contracting and is a member of the Acquisition Corps.

CDR Wilson holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School where he was the Navy Supply Systems Command award winner for Academic Excellence. His award decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (four gold stars), Navy Achievement Medal, and various personal and command awards.
